How former Vols fared in the NBA Sunday

Two former Vols played in the NBA Playoffs Sunday and both saw their respective teams lose at home.

In Boston, the No. 7 Celtics dropped a 141-126 decision to No. 2 Brooklyn at TD Garden.

The Nets took a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, which will shift back to Barclays Center in Brooklyn Tuesday with the Celtics facing elimination.

Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and the game will be televised on TNT.

Former Vol Grant Williams played 21 minutes, scoring five points, while recording two rebounds, two assists and one block.

Williams went 1-for-4 from the field, making a 3-pointer. He was 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

In Dallas, the fifth-seeded Mavericks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 106-81, at American Airlines Center.

Former Vol Josh Richardson came off the bench to score five points and pull down three rebounds. He also had one assist and a steal.

Richardson went 2-for-7 from the field and made one long-range jumper.

The series, which returns to Staples Center on Wednesday, is tied 2-2 with the road team winning each game.
