Former Vols in the NBA: March 11 recap

How former Vols fared in NBA games Thursday.

Three former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Thursday night.

Two had their teams lose, while Philadelphia defeated the Bulls, 127-105, at the United Center in Chicago.

In that game, former Volunteers’ standout Tobias Harris started and played 25 minutes.

He scored 24 points and pulled down three rebounds for Philadelphia (25-12).

The former Vol also had four assists and went 8-for-15 from the field. He was 1-for-3 in 3-point attempts, while going 7-for-8 from the free throw line against the Bulls (16-19).

In Oklahoma City, Dallas came up on the short end of a 116-108 decision against the Thunder.

Josh Richardson started and played 35 minutes.

He scored 27 points and dished out six assists for Dallas (19-17).

The former Vol also had two steals and one blocked shot. He went 10-for-15 from the floor, while going 3-for-5 from long range. He was 4-for-6 from the foul line against Oklahoma City (16-21).

Meanwhile in Brooklyn, Boston fell to the Nets, 121-109, at Barclays Center.

Grant Williams played 10 minutes and grabbed five rebounds and recorded one steal for the Celtics (19-18). He was 0-for-2 from the field with both of his shot attempts coming from beyond the 3-point arc against Brooklyn (25-13).
