Former Vols in the NBA: Dec. 8 recap

How former Vols performed in the NBA Wednesday.

Three former University of Tennessee basketball players competed in NBA games Wednesday. Two more were inactive and another did not play due to a coach’s decision.

In Charlotte, Philadelphia outlasted the Hornets, 110-106, at Spectrum Center.

Tobias Harris started and played 34 minutes for the 76ers.

Harris recorded 18 points and six rebounds. He was 7-for-13 from the floor, 2-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

Rookie Jaden Springer was inactive for Philadelphia.

In Los Angeles, Boston dropped a 114-110 decision to the Clippers at Staples Center. Josh Richardson and Grant Williams came of the bench for the Celtics.

Richardson played 30 minutes and had 17 points, five rebounds, one steal and one assist. He was 5-for-11 from the field and 3-for-6 from long range. Richardson converted a four of his free throw attempts.

Keon Johnson was inactive for Los Angeles.

In Memphis, the Grizzlies had a five-game winning streak snapped, losing to Dallas, 104-96, at FedEx Forum.

Yves Pons did not play for the Grizzlies due to a coach’s decision.
