Former Vikings third-round pick Wyatt Davis finds a new home

The former 3rd round pick finds a new home

The Minnesota Vikings 2021 draft class took a massive hit during final cutdowns as seven selections from the class were let go, including former third-round pick G Wyatt Davis.

After the Vikings waived the former Ohio State product, he ended up on the New York Giants practice squad the next day.

On Thursday, Davis was signed to the active roster of the New Orleans Saints.

While the Saints have two really good starting guards in Andrus Peat and Cesar Ruiz, their depth at the position is lacking. Calvin Throckmorton and Tanner Owen are the only players listed on the depth chart behind the starters and that is not ideal.

The addition of Davis could be one with high-upside. He couldn’t get his footing in Minnesota for a myriad of reasons but a new set of circumstances could make a big difference.
