Former UNC basketball five-star target officially cuts list

A former UNC basketball recruiting target has officially cut their list down to three programs.

The North Carolina Tar Heels’ basketball program appears to be done with the 2024 recruiting class, holding the No. 1 class in the cycle.

With three commitments right now, barring any major changes, the Tar Heels will roll into next year with this class. And their last remaining target in 2024 is also moving on.

While it appeared clear that UNC was no longer involved with five-star guard Boogie Fland, the talented recruit made that official by trimming his list of offers down to a final three. Fland is now down to Indiana, Kentucky and Alabama in his recruitment he told Dushawn London of 247Sports:

“Indiana, Kentucky, and Alabama are the schools pushing hard to get me and I’m focused on those three schools,” Fland said to 247Sports.

“For one of these schools to separate themselves they’d have to show more interest than the others,” he explained. “I’m also going to be playing for the head coach so they need to be interested in me as well.”

North Carolina was involved with Fland for months, hoping to add a key piece to what was already a really good class. But now, it’s officially over as Flands’ recruitment continues on.
