Austin Bryant is heading to Minnesota!

Former Clemson defensive end Austin Bryant has another opportunity in the NFL, signing with the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.

Now an outside linebacker, Bryant was released by the San Francisco 49ers last week after playing 36 defensive snaps in two games. Those appearances came in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Bryant was a fourth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL Draft, spending time from 2019-2022 with the Lions. In his career, Bryant has appeared in 35 games, recording 66 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, and a pass breakup. His 4.5 sacks all came in the 2021 season with the Lions.
