After a very up and down career at Texas, wide receiver Joshua Moore decided to enter the transfer portal after the 2021 season.
He showed flashes in 2020, grabbing 30 catches for nearly 500 yards and nine touchdowns, but seemed to struggle when Steve Sarkisian took over.
Moore’s time with the Longhorns ultimately ended after what was reported as a heated argument with Sarkisian, and he still looking for a new home. After originally announcing that he would transfer to Texas Tech, Moore later had a change of heart and committed to SMU instead.
According to Joseph Hoyt of the The Dallas News, Moore is not expected to attend SMU and is back on the market.
Been hinting at it in some previous stories, but multiple sources indicate former Texas WR Joshua Moore is not expected to come to SMU.
Helps explain why SMU added two transfers WRs this week in former Texas WR Kelvontay Dixon and former Miss. State WR Teddy Knox.

As of now, there is no further information on whether or not Moore plans to transfer again, or even continue playing football.
He is a former four-star recruit out of Yoakum, Texas that held 52 offers before his high school career was all said and done. He ranked as the No. 96 overall player according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
