The Oklahoma Sooners improved their wide receiver room on Monday.
Former Texas wide receiver Brenen Thompson announced his commitment to Oklahoma nearly two weeks after entering the transfer portal. The speedy second-year wide receiver played in nine games for the Longhorns last season and hauled in one reception for 32 yards.
Thompson seemingly got buried on the depth chart in Austin with players like AD Mitchell, Isaiah Neyor, Johntay Cook and DeAndre Moore now on the roster.
At Oklahoma, Thompson has the chance to compete for a starting job right away alongside Michigan transfer Andrel Anthony and returning receivers Drake Stoops and Jalil Farooq.
