The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former Texas defensive back Anthony Cook to an undrafted free agency deal following the 2023 NFL Draft.
Cook joins D’Shawn Jamison as Longhorns defensive backs to receive UDFA contracts.
The fifth-year senior played all over the Texas secondary during his college career. Cook was recruited as a corner before moving to nickel and eventually settling into the safety spot his senior season.
He is a sure tackler and physical presence on the back end of the defense. Cook is not afraid to spin down and help out in run support.
Cook is not the only Texas ex heading to Kansas City this offseason. The Chiefs selected defensive tackle Keondre Coburn in the sixth round of the draft on Saturday.
The Longhorns have now sent seven players to the NFL this offseason, five draftees and two undrafted free agents.
