On July 22, four-star cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau announced his decommitment from the University of Texas.
He was the longest-tenured commit for Texas’ 2022 recruiting class, dating back to the Tom Herman days. Following his decommitment, Texas A&M and TCU instantly became the two favorites to land the Port Arthur native.
Over the last two months, Guilbeau has taken two unofficial visits to Texas A&M, but 247Sports crystal ball predictions are currently in favor of TCU. To no surprise, Guilbeau’s final three schools are Texas, TCU, and Texas A&M.

On the 247Sports composite, Guilbeau ranks as the No. 152 player and the No. 17 cornerback in the country. Within the state of Texas, the four-star breaks the top 30 prospects at No. 29.
In 2020, Guilbeau earned first-team all-district honors as a junior for Memorial High School.
