Former Texas A&M DL Justin Madubuike has continued to play at a Pro Bowl level for the Baltimore Ravens

Current Baltimore star defensive lineman Justin Madubuike has continued to dominate in the trenches during his breakout season.

Former Texas A&M defensive tackle Justin Madubuike has been tearing it up during the 2023 NFL Season, already becoming the first Raven since 2017 to record double-digit sack totals with 13 through 16 games, tied for eighth in the league.

Already accumulating 21.5 sacks during his first four seasons, Madubuike is set to become a free agent after the 2023 season. While the Ravens attempted to sign the ascending defender last summer, Madubuike, as he did throughout his collegiate career at Texas A&M, bet on himself, leading to the Pro Bowl performance we’ve witnessed throughout the year.

Playing at the left defensive end in defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald’s 3-4 base system, he has wreaked havoc on opposing guards, consistently winning on bull rushes while showing impressive speed to track down the quarterback outside the pocket. Coming out of Texas A&M, from 2017-2019,  Madubuike recorded 105 tackles and 11 sacks, including back-to-back 5.5 sacks total in 2018-2019, and 24.5 tackles for loss.

With the Ravens sitting at 13-3 and earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Madubuike could finish Top 10 in sacks with a Super Bowl ring heading into free agency with a load of personal momentum.
