Former Tennessee defensive lineman Darel Middleton entered the NCAA transfer portal last month.
He announced his transfer destination on Wednesday.
Middleton has transferred to West Virginia and will play for head coach Neal Brown.
“I’m finally getting out my own way and just putting my future in God hands,” Middleton said on Twitter.
Middleton appeared in 22 games for the Vols during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He totaled 43 tackles, two sacks, two pass deflections, one forced fumble and one block.
Middleton came to Tennessee from East Mississippi Community Community. He played for East Mississippi from 2017-18.
The former Vol played at Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
