Former Steelers’ safety Sean Davis will sign with the Redskins on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, per @RosenhausSports

According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Sean Davis is signing with the Washington Redskins on a one-year prove-it contract worth up to $5 million. Davis was an unrestricted free agent who spent almost all of the 2019 season in IR.
Davis has underperformed since being the Steelers second-round pick back in 2016. After Davis was injured last season, the Steelers traded their 2020 first-round pick to the Miami Dolphins for Minkah Fitzpatrick. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Losing Davis leaves the Steelers woefully thin along the safety depth chart. With very little in the way of salary cap to work with, look for Pittsburgh to replace Davis with a rookie to backup Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds.
