Former Michigan State basketball one-and-done Max Christie had a breakout performance at the NBA’s summer league this year, and earned his way onto the All-Summer League second team as a result.
Christie got Los Angeles Lakers fans excited (and even earned some comparisons to Kobe Bryant) after averaging 19 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game in the summer league.
Christie looked noticeably stronger, something analysts said he would have to do in order to break into the Lakers’ rotation this year, and it paid huge dividends for the former Spartan.
