A day after former Michigan State DT Raequan Williams was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles, he has found a landing spot with the team, just not on the main 53-man roster. Zach Berman of The Athletic reported on Sunday that Williams was signed to the Eagles practice squad.

This news came just a few hours after Joe Bachie made a similar move with the New Orleans Saints. Both players will look to carve a path to the main roster through the practice team. Bachie and Williams were both undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

This is another example of the lack of preseason games hurting these undrafted players who aren’t able to change the narrative about their game, but that’s a reality of the current situation.
