While the Buffalo Bills are a staple on the gridiron, Lindy Ruff was one on the ice in western New York for a long time and his roots still appear to very much be in western New York.
Ruff, the former captain of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres (who are also owned by Bills co-owners Terry and Kim Pegula) turned coach from 1997 until 2013, had a photo of him shared by his current employers, the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
Currently a coach down in the land of the Jets and Giants, Ruff was sporting a Bills facemask while on the ice on Saturday morning.
