Former Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels might be headed to the AFC North.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Daniels is visiting the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday and is expected to sign with the team if the visit goes well.
Daniels, a draft pick of the Packers in 2012, played seven seasons in Green Bay. He was released before the start of training camp in 2019 and spent last season with the Detroit Lions.
Throughout the offseason, Daniels made it known he would welcome a return to Green Bay, but the chances of a reunion are dwindling and may have never been all that realistic, at least from the team’s side.
Daniels, a Pro Bowler in 2017, turned 31 years old in May. He played in only nine games for the Lions last season while dealing with a recurring foot injury.
In Cincinnati, Daniels could team with Geno Atkins and D.J. Reader to give the Bengals a tough trio of interior defenders along the defensive line.
