Former Oklahoma State big man Brandon Garrison set to visit Kentucky

Kentucky is looking to host Oklahoma State transfer Brandon Garrison for a visit.

As first reported by On3’s Joe Tipton head coach Mark Pope is looking to bring in Oklahoma State transfer power forward/center Brandon Garrison for a visit to Lexington, Kentucky.

During his freshman season in 2023-24, Brandon Garrison averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 22.7 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-11 big man shot 57.2 percent from the field and 64.8 percent from the line at Oklahoma State.

Coming out of Del City (OK) High School, Garrison was considered a four-star recruit and a top 50 prospect from the class of 2023. He was named a McDonald’s High School All-American and was the Gatorade and MaxPreps Player of the Year in Oklahoma.

New Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope has been contacting nearly every good player in the transfer portal. With the exodus of every player from last year, he needs talent to fill out next season’s roster. Garrison would give him a big man with the potential to turn into a very good player.
