Former Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray has another big Sunday in the NFL

Kyler Murray was impressive in Arizona’s surprising Week 1 upset and took to that to another level in the Cardinals’ Week 2 win.

Kyler Murray was impressive in Arizona’s surprising Week 1 upset of the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers. Murray passed for 230 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 91 yards and another score.

Murray was even better in Arizona’s Week 2 win over Washington.

The former Oklahoma star completed 26 of 38 passes for 286 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also finished with 67 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.

Murray had his team up 20-0 at halftime after a big first half.

Washington attempted to make a game of it in the second half, but Murray’s second touchdown run put an end to that rally.

For the first time since 2015, the Cardinals are 2-0 to begin the season, due in large part to their dynamic young quarterback. The former Oklahoma quarterback won the Heisman Trophy in 2018, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft and became the Offensive Rookie of the Year last season.

Murray’s Arizona Cardinals host the 0-2 Detroit Lions next week.
