It’s pretty normal for former [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] stars to get an invite to spring practice and come back “home.” One of those players was former All-American cornerback, [autotag]Chimdi Chekwa[/autotag].
The Buckeyes held a scrimmage yesterday, and Chekwa was on hand with his family to watch the action. It’s always interesting to see who they see as standouts. It should not come as a surprise that the star defender kept a close eye on what was happening on that side of the ball.
Chekwa tweeted that Ohio State has plenty of work to do but multiple players stood out to him: cornerbacks [autotag]Davison Igbinosun[/autotag] and [autotag]Ryan Turner[/autotag] along with defensive end [autotag]Kenyatta Jackson[/autotag].
There are others, but they def caught my eye.

It’s great to hear that the cornerbacks stood out, especially given their struggles. Igbinosun, the transfer, is already getting rave reviews from multiple sources. Hearing Jackson is taking the next step is big, especially with Zach Harrison Jr. moving on to the next level. Turner hasn’t created much buzz, but impressing the former All-American at his position is good news.
