Former NFL LB believes Bryce Young is the safest option at No. 1 overall

In reaction to a new 2023 NFL mock draft that has Bryce Young first overall, analysts discuss who shouldn’t be selected ahead of him.

Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is one of the top prospects in the 2023 NFL draft class and is an option for the Carolina Panthers at No. 1 overall.

There’s been much debate as to who will be selected with the first pick ever since the Panthers traded with the Chicago Bears to land it.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah recently revealed his latest NFL mock draft, which had the panthers selecting Young. Former NFL linebacker Thomas Davis agrees that Young is the most pro-ready quarterback that is a “proven winner,” but believes Carolina will make a surprise pick.

Davis mentions that he has heard of the Panthers’ front office taking a strong liking to Florida‘s Anthony Richardson and the potential he shows along with the size he possesses.
