Former New Jersey basketball star Aaron Estrada is in the transfer portal

Aaron Estrada has entered the transfer portal.

Aaron Estrada, fresh off a tremendous season at Hofstra, entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. He enters the portal with one season of college egibility remaining.

In high school, he was a member of the 2019 recruiting class and a three-star recruit according to Rivals. He played his high school basketball at St. Benedict’s Prep.

Wherever he ends up will be Estrada’s fourth college team. He went to St. Peter’s in 2019, scoring 8.1 points per game before transferring to Oregon. Then he spent the last two seasons at Hofstra.

Last season, Estrada was top 25 in the nation in scoring averaging 20.2 points per game. He went 47.8 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from the 3-point line.

He is a guard that Rutgers and head coach Steve Pikiell know all too well.

 

Against Rutgers in the first round of the NIT, he scored 13 points in an 88-86 Hoftra win. He followed that up in the second round with 18 points in a loss at Cincinnati.
