In some unfortunate news for Michigan State football fans, former Spartan Ron Saul passed away on Tuesday at the age of 73.
Saul left Michigan State in 1970 when he was draft in the fifth round of the NFL draft by the Houston Oilers. He played six years with the Oilers and another six years for the Washington Redskins before retiring after the 1981 season.
Saul played under legendary Spartan coach Duffy Daugherty from 1967-69.
Former MSU and NFL All-Pro offensive lineman Ron Saul died Tuesday. He was 73. He and his twin brother, Rich, both starred for the Spartans out of Butler, Pa. Rich died in 2012 – he and their older brother, Bill, all played in the NFL. https://t.co/Cap8rcmcb5
