The COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak has brought most of the global society to a halt… but not NFL free agency, which has been off to a fast start with a busy Monday that has kept sports fandom entertained. One former Michigan State offensive lineman, Jack Conklin, had a very fruitful Monday, signing a 3-year, $42-million deal with the Cleveland Browns with $30-million guaranteed.
Conklin, who is 25 years old, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 8th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He had left Michigan State early after his junior year due to high demand at the professional level, and that bet he made on himself has paid off in spades.
Jack Conklin agreed to a 3-year deal with the Browns for $42M with $30M fully guarantee, per @RosenhausSports. He earns $20mil in the first year. Wanted to keep it short due to the projected increases in the salary cap. Conklin will only be 28 when this deal expires.

Conklin made First-Team All-Pro back in the rookie season and has been a very solid offensive tackle for the Titans since then. Conklin will cash out on this short, but lucrative deal and then head back into free agency at the ripe young age of 28.
