Former LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry will miss the first game of his NFL career on Sunday after being in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Landry, along with Cleveland’s other starting receiver, Rashad Higgins, and backups Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge, were all placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after the positive test.

In his seventh NFL season, Landry has played in 110 games. A second-round pick of the Miami Dolphins back in 2014, Landry is in his third season with the Browns.

The former LSU star has 67 receptions for 789 yards and three touchdowns this season.

The Browns are having their best season in years at 10-4 and currently sit one game behind AFC North leader Pittsburgh.

Another former LSU standout, rookie linebacker Jacob Phillips, was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Cleveland plays the 1-13 New York Jets in Week 16.
