Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow outstanding in Cincinnati loss

Former LSU signal-caller Joe Burrow impressed once again this week’s Bengals loss.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had another outstanding performance in a heartbreaking 37-34 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

The former LSU star completed 35 of 47 passes for 408 yards with three touchdowns. Burrow also rushed for 34 yards and another score.

With the Bengals trailing 31-27 late in the fourth quarter, Burrow led the Bengals on an impressive drive inside Cleveland’s five-yard line. Facing fourth down, Burrow finds running back Giovani Bernard for a short touchdown to give the Bengals a 34-31 lead with 1:06 remaining in the game.

Unfortunately for Burrow, Cincinnati’s defense couldn’t stop Baker Mayfield, who answered Burrow with an impressive drive of his own to give the Browns a last-second win.

While it was a crushing defeat for Burrow and his Bengals, he again proved he will be one of the NFL’s elite passers.

In the loss, Burrow set new career-highs in completions, passing yards and touchdowns. Burrow’s 112.5 quarterback rating was also a personal best.

Cincinnati falls to 1-5-1 on the season and hosts the Tennessee Titans in Week 8.
