Former Husker quarterback reports to UFL training camp

A former Nebraska quarterback has reported to his first United Football League training camp.

A former Nebraska quarterback has reported to his first United Football League training camp. Adrian Martinez is working out with the Birmingham Stallions as the UFL heads towards its inaugural season.

Martinez played at Nebraska from 2018-21 before transferring to Kansas State to finish his career. He went 14-24 as a starter in Lincoln.

For his career, he threw for 9,391 yards and 49 touchdowns with 30 interceptions. He also ran for 2,847 yards and 44 touchdowns.

He went undrafted but was invited to the Detroit Lions training camp before being waived. Martinez joins a Birmingham Stallions squad that has won the last two USFL championships.

The Stallions will kick off the UFL season on Saturday, March 30, when they take on the Arlington Renegades at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
