Dre Greenlaw returned an interception for a touchdown in the San Francisco 49ers’ season-opening victory over the Detroit Lions.
Unfortunately, he was not on the field for the next series and later headed to the locker room and did not return.
LB Dre Greenlaw is having a procedure to repair a groin injury, according to multiple sources. It is not believed to be season ending.

Greenlaw has only missed three games in his career to this point, two of which was from a quad injury he suffered a year ago.
His 87 tackles he made as a rookie in 2019 were the fourth-most ever in franchise history, trailing only Patrick Willis, Fred Warner and Chris Borland while helping lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl.
Greenlaw played for Arkansas from 2015 to 2018. He compiled 320 tackles during those four years before being drafted in the fifth round of the 2019 draft by the 49ers.
