Michael Thomas, the safety who served as one of the New York Giants special teams captains the past two seasons, is signing with the Houston Texans, per his agent, Christina Phillips.

Thomas, 30, was named to the Pro Bowl after the 2018 season as a replacement for the Rams’ Cory Littleton, who played in the Super Bowl that season.
Thomas played in all 32 games during his two-year Giants career, starting eight. He had 106 total tackles with two interceptions and a sack for New York.
Thomas went undrafted out of Stanford in 2012 and signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2013 after spending a year on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad. He played five seasons for the Dolphins. In 2018, Thomas signed a two-year deal with the Giants.

Looking past his football career, Thomas earned an MBA from the University of Miami in 2016.
