Former Georgia WR signs with Panthers’ practice squad

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver, who transferred after three seasons at UGA, signs with the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad.

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Matt Landers transferred to Toledo and then Arkansas to close his college career. Landers impressed NFL draft scouts at the combine, but went undrafted in the the 2023 NFL draft.

Landers signed with the Seattle Seahawks after the NFL draft, but he did not make Seattle’s roster. Now, Landers has a new NFL home with the Carolina Panthers.

Carolina signed Landers to its practice squad after the New Orleans Saints signed quarterback Jake Luton off the Panthers’ practice squad. Carolina needs help at the wide receiver position, so it is a great opportunity for Landers.

Landers spent three seasons at Georgia before transferring to Toledo. He transferred to Arkansas for his final college season.

Landers had a brief stint on Seattle’s practice squad.
