Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Rara Thomas has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Thomas, who was dismissed from the Georgia program following his arrest ahead of the 2024 college football season, will look for a new home.
Thomas recorded 23 receptions for 383 yards and one touchdown during the 2023 season. Thomas began his career with the Mississippi State Bulldogs in 2021 and will have one year of eligibility remaining. Thomas posted a career high 44 receptions for 626 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022 with Mississippi State.
Thomas’ 2023 season with Georgia was interrupted by injuries, as he missed three full games and part of another after suffering a foot injury in November. A subsequent broken bone in the same foot sidelined him for both the SEC championship game and the Orange Bowl.
Hailing from Eufaula, Alabama, Thomas previously drew interest from programs such as Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee before ultimately committing to Georgia to continue his football journey.
