Former Georgia TE commits to Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech is getting another former Bulldog in the transfer portal. Former Georgia tight end Ryland Goede has committed to the Yellow Jackets for his final year of eligibility.

Goede (6 feet, 6 inches, 240 pounds) was a part of the Bulldogs’ 2019 recruiting class. He was the No. 9 tight end in the state.

The Acworth, Georgia, native spent four years in Athens as a reserve player before transferring to Mississippi State last season, joining his wife, who plays volleyball.

Goede joins former Georgia assistant Buster Faulkner, who serves as offensive coordinator, and former Bulldogs Brett Seither and Dominick Blaylock in Atlanta.

Goede will face his former team next season on Nov. 30 in Athens.
