Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks are once again using the transfer portal to their advantage, bringing in some talented players looking for a new home and bolstering their roster heading into the new season.
On Friday, it was announced that former Georgia Bulldogs guard Kario Oquendo committed to the Ducks after taking an official visit to Eugene last weekend.
The 6-foot-4 guard entered the portal soon after it opened in mid-March after having spent the past two seasons at Georgia, starting 59 games, after one year in the JUCO ranks where he played a season at Florida Southwestern State, the same school that new Oregon guard Jadrian Tracey came from.
Oquendo led Georgia in scoring during the 2021 season, and was the No. 2 leading scorer in 2023, averaging 12.7 PPG. He also consideredAuburn, Utah, and Nebraska.
