Former Georgia defensive back Sheldon Dawson has been named the head coach at Frederick Douglass High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dawson comes to Frederick Douglass after holding the position of defensive coordinator at Liberty Tech High School in Jackson, Tennessee.
Dawson came to Georgia out of Ridgeway, Tennessee, where he was a 4-star defensive back in the class of 2012.
Dawson played three seasons at Georgia, earning one start against Georgia Tech in 2013.
Dawson closed out his collegiate career at Tennessee-Martin, an FCS program.
