Kyle Trask is coming into his own as he prepares to learn behind Tom Brady as a rookie in the NFL. The former Florida Gator made a highlight play in practice and received praise from his coaches on Tuesday.
The quarterback connected with tight end Tanner Hudson for a highlight-reel touchdown pass and the clip made it to Twitter as the Buccaneers‘ Play of the Day.
Tampa Bay drafted Trask with the 64th overall pick after he slipped to the second round. Many, including some at Gators Wire, felt that Trask was the wrong pick for the Buccaneers and that was somewhat backed up by a weak performance during Tampa’s OTAs.

That story seems to be changing with Trask’s more recent play. Head coach Bruce Arians was nothing but complimentary of the former Gator after practice on Tuesday.
Trask will have to compete with backups Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin to secure the spot behind Brady and he’s currently listed fourth. He should move up the list as Gabbert is likely second due to seniority at this stage in camp. The Buccaneers play their first preseason game on Aug. 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"He was outstanding in every snap he had today."
