Dan Mullen has seen a lot of success in the Southeastern Conference between his time at Mississippi State and Florida, so he knows a thing or two. In 2014, Mullen had the Bulldogs in the playoff picture and even ranked No. 1 at one point, and took the Gators to an SEC Championship Game in 2020.
Mullen released his predictions for the 2022 college football playoffs, and I am a fan. Alabama and Ohio State both qualify as the No.1 and No. 2, but it gets interesting when he has the Utah Utes at No. 3 and the North Carolina State Wolfpack at No. 4. The playoffs have consisted of the same group of teams, so two new faces would be welcomed.
To no surprise though, Mullen rightfully expects the Tide to claim yet another national title.
