Former Celtic Shane Larkin goes off for 18 points vs. AX Armani Exchange Milan

Leaving the NBA to play in the Euroleague might just have been the smartest move former Celtics reserve floor general Shane Larkin made in his career.

Most of the time, when an NBA player moves from the league to play overseas, both player and fans alike tend to look at such a move as a step backward. But leaving the NBA to play in the Euroleague might have been the smartest move former Boston Celtics reserve floor general Shane Larkin made in his pro career.

The former Miami standout plays for Anadolu Efes and is setting Euroleague records. He is one of the most famous (and well-paid) guards in Europe despite barely getting floor time as a second- and at times third-string point guard in the NBA.
