The 2005 NBA Draft pick of the Celtics rejoined his hometown Rockets in 2017 after his second stint with Boston, and played for Houston until that team dealt him to the Denver Nuggets in February of 2020.
Waived by the Nuggets soon after while he nursed a broken left foot sustained while he was with the Rockets, the sharpshooting Green has been hard at work rehabilitating that foot with an eye to rejoining his former team.

Green, who made a name for himself early in his career as an explosive dunker, has re-invented himself as a 3-and-D swingman in the latter years of his NBA journey, extending his career with his accuracy beyond the arc.
In his last season in the league before his injury, the Texan wing put up 9.2 points per game while shooting 35.4% from beyond the arc on six attempts per game.
