Despite a lost season for the Washington Wizards, one former UCLA Bruin has quickly emerged as a bright spot in the District of Columbia. Jules Bernard, a graduate of UCLA in 2022, turned some heads for their G-League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go. On Tuesday, he dropped his first triple-double for the Go-Go, just weeks after scoring a career-high for the Wizards.
Scoring 23 points, adding 13 assists, and 10 rebounds, Bernard was active all over the floor all night in the Entertainment and Sports Arena. Despite losing to the Long Island Nets 118-120, Bernard made his mark in the Go Go’s final game of the season and likely an impression on the Wizards’ organization as a whole.

Though the Wizards rival the Detroit Pistons for the title of “worst team in the NBA,” Bernard’s play proves he could be a part of their young core.
With an NBA Draft Lottery pick soon to follow, Bernard could make the most of his undrafted journey with Washington as a role player or, if he shows out for the Wizards’ final few games, could attract the attention of other teams looking to add young depth.
