Former Browns OC Alex Van Pelt interviews for same role with Buccaneers

The former Browns OC gets another interview.

After four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Alex Van Pelt was fired as offensive coordinator. As he searches for a new job, he may be reunited with an old face with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dave Canales, the former offensive coordinator for the Bucs, was named as the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers. This means, after one year of success with former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers are in the market for a new offensive coordinator.

This is the second offensive coordinator interview that Van Pelt has taken after he initially interviewed with the Las Vegas Raiders as well. The Browns have since hired Ken Dorsey to fill the role formerly held by Van Pelt in Cleveland. With no playcalling experience, Van Pelt would get the opportunity to do so in either Las Vegas or Tampa Bay if he were to get one of those jobs.

Could a reunion between Van Pelt and Mayfield be in order down south?
