Jon Feliciano was released by the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday. It was a move that was an anticipated one.
While there was a chance that Feliciano could have restructured his contract to stay in Buffalo, it seemed unlikely. Releasing him saved the Bills $3.4 million against the salary cap.
Even with cutting Feliciano, more moves have to come. The Bills currently only have $600K in cap space, according to Spotrac.
But as they say, it’s a business.
After the dust and feelings settled, Feliciano reflected upon his time in Buffalo. In a message was overwhelmingly positive on his social media account via Instagram, Feliciano gave a shoutout to his teammates, the organization, and Bills Mafia.
“Buffalo thank you for the last three years. #BillsMafia, we get each other,” Feliciano write.
