Ares FC has stacked up its roster with notable UFC veterans.
Its latest addition is former Bellator lightweight champion and ex-UFC fighter [autotag]Will Brooks[/autotag] (20-5 MMA), who was expected to make his promotional debut at Ares FC 2 on Aug. 1 before the event was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Ares FC matchmaker Alan Murphy revealed the news of Brooks’ signing, along with the full Ares FC 2 fight card, which featured Brooks vs. former EFC lightweight champion Martin van Staden.
So I accepted a matchmaking role with ARES in Jan.
ARES2 in 🇧🇪 was cancelled due to COVID19.

Newly signed UFC veterans Luis Henrique, Wilson Reis, John Moraga and Alex Sandoval also were scheduled to compete on the card, which has now been postponed until the end of the year.
After leaving the UFC, Brooks signed with PFL, where he won two bouts and went to a draw with Rashid Magomedov, but was subsequently eliminated from the 2018 lightweight playoffs due to a first-round tiebreaker.
Brooks then faced fellow UFC veteran Gleison Tibau at Battlefield FC 2 this past July in China, but lost by a controversial first-round submission.
