Kaine Williams was a four-star defensive back out of Marrero, Louisiana, who was a member of the Alabama 2021 recruiting class. According to recruiting website Rivals, Willaims was the seventh-ranked prospect in the state, the 11th ranked safety, and the 172nd ranked prospect for the entire 2021 class.  He signed with ‘Bama over other SEC schools such as Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

During his year in Tuscaloosa, Williams appeared in only one game, the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, covering kickoffs on special teams.
