The Nick Saban former coaching tree has expanded to the American Athletic Conference as Alabama’s former quarterbacks coach Dane Enos accepted a position as the running backs coach for Cincinnati, according to Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Enos’ had an unusual departure from Saban’s coaching staff as it was reported  he did not leave on great terms with the six-time national champion head coach.

He left his position at Alabama to join first-year head coach Manny Diaz at the university of Miami as their offensive coordinator. His one year with the Hurricanes was not too successful as they finished the 2019 season with a final record of 6-7. Enos was terminated from his position shortly thereafter.

He will now be working with head coach Luke Fickell and the Cincinnati Bearcats, who capped off the 2019 season with a record of 11-3 and a loss to Memphis in the AAC Championship game.
