Former Alabama OL JC Hassenauer signs with New York Giants

Former Alabama center JC Hassenauer and the New York Giants front office came to terms on a deal. The terms of the contract have not been released at this time.

Former Alabama offensive lineman JC Hassenauer and the New York Giants agreed to a deal in free agency. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed at this time.

Hassenauer spent four seasons at Alabama. The Minnesota native played multiple positions along the Tide’s offensive line including offensive guard and center. He made starts in 2017 against Mercer, Auburn, and Georgia.

Hassenauer went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the Atlanta Falcons. He spent several months on the team’s practice squad before being waived.

He would go on to sign with the Birmingham Iron which was a team affiliated with the Alliance of American Football.

Following one season with the Iron, Hassenauer was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad. He went on to spend four seasons with the organization before becoming a free agent this offseason.

Now, Hassenauer will now re-unite with former Alabama teammate Xavier McKinney. He will likely compete for a starting spot at center during training camp.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama players in the NFL.
