Former Alabama men’s basketball forward Alex Tchikou recently announced his entrance to the NCAA transfer portal. Today, via his Twitter, Tchikou made his decision public. He will be continuing his collegiate basketball career at the University of Rhode Island.
Tchikou, a native of Paris, France, committed to the Crimson Tide as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He did not see the court much, only appearing in three games, but was likely a part of head coach Nate Oats’ future plans for the program.
The 6’11 forward kept the announcement short. He did not mention Oats or anything relating to the University of Alabama.
