Former Alabama LB mark Barron signs with the Denver Broncos on a one year contract.

Former Alabama linebacker Mark Barron was a star as he entered the NFL, being the No. 7 overall selection by the Tampa Bay Buccanneers in the 2012 draft. After spending one season in Pittsburgh, Barron will be heading to Denver after being a late-signee for the 2020 NFL season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported on the one-year signing.

Barron’s eight years in the NFL, and three different teams, led to him acquiring a career total of 710 total tackles, nine interceptions, four fumbles recovered and 12 sacks.

The former Crimson Tide line backer won two BCS National Championships and was named to the PFWA All-rookie team in his rookie season.
