Despite the fact that the NFL playoffs are ongoing, plenty of teams have moved onto the offseason, looking ahead to the 2022 draft and some have a head coaching vacancy to fill before then.
Each team looking for a head coach is searching for something different. The Minnesota Vikings may be looking for a defensive-minded head coach.
Today, the team announced via Twitter that the franchise conducted an interview with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans.
Ryans was an outside linebacker for the Crimson Tide in the Mike Shula era and spent nearly a decade in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.
The 37-year-old defensive coordinator is currently preparing for the NFC Championship game and can’t be hired until his season concludes.
We have completed an interview with 49ers Defensive Coordinator DeMeco Ryans for our open Head Coach position.
