Former five-star linebacker Ben Davis, who joined the Crimson Tide in 2016, will be transferring to Texas, according to his own Twitter account.
Davis had a difficult time seeing the field while at Alabama. Despite being with the team for five seasons, Davis has only seen two years of minimal action.
In 2019 and 2020, he had a combined total of seven tackles, one sack and one pass deflection.
The former No. 1 inside linebacker in the nation announced his entrance to the NCAA transfer portal in February.
Davis will now follow former Alabama offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian, to Texas for his final year of eligibility.
He will look to hold a bigger role at Texas, compared to his second-string position with the Crimson Tide in 2020.
