Earlier this month, Alabama forward Javian Davis entered the transfer portal, and now, he’s officially headed to Mississippi State. Davis announced the news himself on Twitter on Monday morning.

Western Kentucky, Georgetown, Tulane, Xavier, and Wake Forest were among the other schools Davis considered as transfer options prior to his decision to transfer to Mississippi State.

Davis, who is from Caton, Mississippi started 14 games (played in 31) for the Crimson Tide as a redshirt freshman.
Davis joins several other Crimson Tide players who have transferred from Alabama: Galin Smith transferred to Maryland, Jaylen Forbes transferred to Tulane, and Raymond Hawkins decided to go to Long Beach State.
Davis averaged 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds last year, and had a field goal percentage of 59.4%.
